About Clayton, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Clayton was founded in 1913. Since then, the town has become increasingly modern but still kept its simple roots.  Earlier in the century, several prominent St. Louis citizens relocated to Clayton. The relocation became a movement. By the 1920s, Clayton was growing at a fast speed.  By the end of the decade, the value of Clayton's real estate values had tripled. Clayton suffered losses during the Great Depression, but it was somewhat insulated it against the abject poverty that was seen in larger cities.   It is a small town in the shadow of a Goliath.  But, the residents do not mind. They prefer it that way. You will see kids out in the streets kicking balls and playing in the summer and spring.  In the winter, you will never be in search of a shovel or ice scraper.  There will certainly be a friendly neighbor willing to help.

In the decades since its big boom, the City of Clayton has sustained its growth but still managed to keep the community safe and secure as over 80% of the real estate in the town is residential, or parkland. Love checking out historical attractions?  Martin Hanley's 129-year-old farmhouse still stands on the edge of downtown Clayton.  It is certainly worth checking out and it illustrates an interesting dichotomy between the two sides of the town – urban and prosperous, but slow and peaceful, as well.   No matter what time of year, snow or rain or sleet or sun, you will love the downtown area and will feel like you are standing on the edge of two different worlds as you stroll the streets of downtown Clayton.

If you love sports and outdoor fun then Clayton has you more than covered.  The Center of Clayton offers sports, fitness, swimming, recreation, health education and more. The facility houses four gymnasiums, two pools, a suspended jogging track,  aerobic/dance areas, a climbing wall, classrooms, free weights and weight machines, a lounge, a Subway and rooms for meetings and parties.  This is a great place to get exercise and stay active even when the weather is cold.  As a matter of fact, the colder months are great time to take swim lessons, or you can learn to skate on the outdoor rink.  But, be sure to bring your gloves.
