About Kirkwood, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Kirkwood, Missouri was established in 1853, and has long been recognized for its hometown appeal, community satisfaction, schools, business community, and active residents.  The downtown business district has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  It is home to many eateries and shops as well as the Farmers’ Market, which is open during the warmer seasons. It’s so wonderful and welcoming in fact that is often called “Queen of the St. Louis Suburbs,” and has been for well over 100 years.

The seasonal weather means swim trunks in the summer and sweat suits in the winter.  And, that is just the way that the locals like it.  In particular, ice sports are popular in this area and the residents love to skate.  Visiting in summer?  Don’t worry!  No need to wait for winter for some fun on the ice.  The Kirkwood Recreation Station Ice Arena is open all year for public skating.

The city was named after James Pugh Kirkwood. He was the engineer in charge of the construction of the railroad that spawned the development of this amazing community.   The stunning historic train station is a testament to the locals’ love of trains and their appreciation for what the railroad did for their town.  The station is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a favorite photo op for tourists or photographers. But, it is no relic. The train station is still in use.  It currently serves as an Amtrak stop daily.   The train station is a great attraction to check out in any season and is a fixture in the community that is beloved and cherished.  It is a must-see should you find yourself in Kirkwood.
